| Résumé : |
Improving the performance of cattle herds relies largely on the selection and distribution of
animals with high genetic potential, a process in which reproductive biotechnologies, and particularly embryo transfer, play a significant role. To assess the current status of this technology in Africa, and specifically in Algeria, a review of available research on bovine embryo production was conducted, supplemented by an examination of embryo transfer protocols in cows. The data collected indicate that this technique remains largely at an experimental stage in Algeria and a lot of African countries. |
